12. Blend your lipliner through the inside of your lips to avoid that liner-with-no-lipstick look.

It's also a great way to blend your liner and lipstick if the colors aren't an exact match.

13. Or if you're tired of buying a lip liner for every shade of lipstick you own, try a transparent Urban Decay universal priming liner to keep your lips on lock. It also works to hide blemishes, fill in fine lines (so makeup doesn't settle into them), and correct errant makeup marks!

Promising review: "HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. This is hands down the best pencil I've ever used. I love crazy lip colors, I use KVD's everlasting stuff. Did not want to figure out how to coordinate a thousand lip liners with all those colors. I was also looking for something to help with the feathering and caking that sometimes happens with the more pigmented colors of KVD. This solves all the things. I may now have purple lips to my hearts content." —fitpixel

14. Brush on translucent powder between layers of your favorite lipstick to help it last alllllll damn day.

15. Perfect your pout by tracing the edges of your lips with a dab of concealer on an angled brush.

This'll keep your lipstick from feathering, too!

Get a highly-rated Maybelline angled brush from Amazon for $4 and a top-rated Rimmel concealer from Amazon for $5.32 (available in 32 shades).

16. Use a tweezer or eyebrow pencil to line up where your brows should start, arch, and end before filling them in for your best and most natural-looking forehead caterpillars ever.

17. Try Benefit's Browvo conditioning primer both at night and underneath your makeup to help your eyebrow powder, pencil, or pomade last longer AND to help your brows grow in fuller.

Promising review: "I have brow goals because of this primer. My brow hairs grow faster and thicker!! I have been using this since it launched and it has lasted me months. I use it before I fill in my brows with the Precisely My brow pencil & Brow Zing Kit. It makes the color richer. I can't live without this!!" —Meegn

18. Layer eyelash primer (like this top-rated LancĂ´me one) under your mascara for long and clump-free lashes for days (it conditions to keep them healthier, too!).

Promising review: "This makes any mascara better! It makes the lashes appear thicker and longer, and the mascara won't ever flake. I use this every time I use mascara! Worth the money!" —Maggie714

19. If you get that mascara smudge under your eye without fail, try this handy trick to stop it once and for all. Just run your finger across — in the words of Ina, how easy is that?

20. Combat clumping and make reapplying mascara in the evening less of a mess with a set of foldable eyelash combs. Keep one in your purse for touch-ups!

Promising review: "I'm a professional makeup artist and I've always used the Tweezerman version of these. The pins in those were getting loose so I needed a replacement. I tried these on a whim as the price can't really be beat. I think these are fantastic and actually superior to the Tweezerman ones. They are more comfortable to hold, they snap open and closed nicely and the pin tips aren't as sharp, which makes them feel safer to use on myself and on models. Major thumbs up!" —JJ
